Today in class the following tentative schedule was reviewed:
11-16-2010 : Draft 3 due
11-18-2010 : Final copy due
11-23-2010 : No class
11-30-2010 : Presentations
12-02-2010 : Presentations/ Last day of class
The presentations are going to be similar to the metaphor presentations that we did the first week of class only this time they will be based on what we have learned about revision. The content needed will be explained later.
Draft 2, which was due today, was also reviewed today. We set off into groups according to which of the three options we chose to write about and commented on the papers we read. In this draft citations and refrences are not necessary but may be helpful. Any of the three options should contain:
Layers of Elaboration:
Personal Experiences
Observations of other writers/peers
Credibility/Reliability
Draft two should explain the intent to the reader being the transition from draft 1 to draft 2 which is the background that led to the discussion. We have to make sure the reader understands where we are heading with our idea. For those of you that chose option 1, remember that comparing and contrasting is the most important objective.
